My Viking that is, my lovely aged(read as ANCIENT) sewing machine kicked the bucket this AM. I took it to town in hopes of a speedy repair but that was not to be, one place doesn't even do in house repair but she was kind enough to tell me they don't make parts for my model anymore, so I could end up sending it in only to have it un-fixable and still have to pay shipping charges. The other store knew a hell of alot more about my machine and found the problem in like two seconds flat, but alas even if we could get the parts(which we can't) it would be over $200 to fix it and thats just not worth it on a old gal like this one. *sniff*
Off to Ebay! I'm poking around, I've found a few that are exactly what I have, just in better shape(mine was used and abused) I've found a few that seem to be newer as well but I don't know much about Viking model numbers. A call has been made to my sewing sensei, I am awaiting the advice of my master before I purchase my new toy.
What really is a bummer is that I was working on a project for my little business and I was trying to get it done by Friday, the people I was making it for didn't ask me to but I told them I would try, well now that's not going to happen, and I just ordered some more fabric to turn into stuff to sell(and make some money) but now I'll not be able to do that either, girr!
