Alright, I just saw a TV advertisement that made me say WTF.
The produce is Veramyst, it’s an allergy medication, you spray it in yer schnozola. They tout it as being able to handle a myriad of symptoms, from red/itchy/watery eyes, to congestion/sneezing etc. This is all well and good but what got me was some of the disclaimers
Number 1. “The way Veramyst works isn’t completely understood”
Huh? You have only a vague idea how it works and you want me to spray it into my body. I know lots of medications are not completely understood but usually you can expect something like “it blocks histamine” or perhaps “it sends new signals” or something but no we get “we don’t know how it works, it just does, trust us” *rolls eyes* I so wouldn’t go there.
Number 2. “May cause Glaucoma or cataracts, do not spray in eyes and have regular eye exams”
Ok so in exchange for being able to breathe a bit easier and having “comfortable” eyes I may mess my eyes up permanently. What? something is seriously wrong with the drug companys…
