My computer is dieing, it's had a few burps and farts recently, not unlike the man that built it but I love him and I only tolerate the computer, "I just use it for it's body" Hee, just a few days ago the monitor wouldn't wake up and upon doing a reboot the mouse, keyboard and disk drive A didn't work *scratches head* I don't even [i]have[/i] a disk drive A...well I gave it a good cleaning, gave it a few minutes to get it's scattered thoughts back together and presto he runs! Then yesterday after spending all afternoon reading some blog archives(some of you have [i]interesting[/i] lives) I closed firefox and set my MSN and Yahoo to away when poof [U]BSOD[/U] augh! the horror, and it said something completely un-shiney "NMI:parity check/memory parity error The System has halted" Eww, eww, eww, feck *grumps* Styles was able to get it to reboot and it worked fine, but for some reason I had lost all my bookmarks, thankfully it automatically saves a backup every Monday so Styles did a restore and I'm back in business. The problem with all this is we have been planning on getting a new computer but not for me, we need a new laptop for vacations and when Styles deploys, and buying one for me just isn't a priority right now, I'm hoping between this desktop, the kitchen machine and the old crappy lappy I can survive until fall, because we'd like the new lappy for spring/summer vacations.
We saw P.S. I Love You last night, it was all Awwww, and lovey dovey and mush, guys take a girl to it and get her all snuggled, it'll work :)
We saw Rambo today, it was all BOOM and KILL and GRAWWW! if you guys can get a girl to go to it count yourselves lucky ;)
I visited a new shop in town today, well it's not new, it's actually quite old but I had never been in there, it's a meat shop, more properly known as a butchers, it was like stepping back in time to my grandparents generation, actual butchers behind the counter? people that can counsel you on the cuts of meat and make suggestions and hack up your chicken for you? novel concept. All in all it was quite nice, there was beef, and pork, and chicken(of course) along with shellfish, fish, sausages, bison(buffalo) etc, I went there because I couldn't find ground lamb for my Shepard's pie at the supermarket, and alas I didn't find ground lam there either but I did get lamb chops and seeing as I have a meat grinder(don't ask) I'm just going to grind it myself :P I know I could make it with ground beef like most Americans do but then it's not Shepard's Pie, it's more like Cattlemen's Pie LoL and I would like to point out that lamb is EXPENSIVE here, King tried to convince me it was a cheap, readily available meat and I had to disappoint him and let him know that here it just ain't, lamb and mutton are sorta rare.
Well that's just about it for me, Styles and I are heading off to go galaxy/cosmic bowling with some friends in a few and I'd like to get a bit spiffied up first, after that, who knows, perhaps some Guitar Hero or Wii Bowling is in order but seeing as I'm kinda pissy tonight I don't think competition without some buffer between me and him would be a good thing.
