Is it summer? I think it's supposed to be summer, seems nobody told the weather angels that. It's about 50(10c) outside right now and the hight for the day is only forecasted to be in the 60's, on top of this it's damp, not real rain right now but a narsty drizzly dampness, bleck...I want summer.
On the barn front I've been busy doing some sprucing up around the place, the flower seeds that were planted a while ago are growing nicely, I haven't seen any sign of the corn stalks tho. I re-painted my ground poles and one set of jump standards, the other set needs help..lots of help, I may turn those over to Hannah's dad, he likes to do wood working. The other night I made two brush box jumps out of some old palates, they turned out surprisingly good, now they just need paint.
I'm still keeping Nysa pony in shape for our summer shows, the next one being the RRV Fair show on June 16th-17th, I'll be showing Nysa on the first day and Hannah will be showing her the second, the club is quite accommodating of us sharing Nysa but we decided it would be much easier on all involved to have only one of us using her each day. I'd like to show Chance as well, but seeing as I have yet to ride him I doubt that will happen...
Although the slave(Lunar for those that know) did lunge him last night and he was a doll, then I got on the mounting block and laid across his back and he didn't car a bit, perhaps this week I'll actually sit on him for the first time in over two years.
So yep that's life, me and Lunar doing barn stuff, me spending a few hours a day talking to Styles online, making plans for showing and some fun horse things too...
I lead a very quiet life...
